I have 250 rounds through my 9mm shield, impressed by the accuracy but during rapid fire it starts hitting low and left from point of aim. I believe in my case it's shifting slightly in my hand, if I concentrate on my grip it seems to help.
Good luck.
I didn't buy an SD9VE, but an SD9 when they first came out, I had actually went to buy a G19, but that instead. Tritium front sight, actual picatinny rail, no BS lifetime warranty from a company I had had great luck with in the past, for about $80 less than the glock.
The problem with that is that you probably will not get much for your sigma. IMO you should keep it and save up for the SD.
And yes the SD is a better pistol than the sigma. Better trigger, standard rail on the dustcover, and Apex is now making upgrade parts if thats your thing.
While I dont have an SD9VE, I do have one of the original SD9s, closing in on 2K through it with only a problem early on that smith took care of quickly. The trigger has smoothed and lightened to be almost perfect for a carry pistol IMO. I would recommend the pistol to anyone.
I currently own 4 smith firearms, an M&P-15, M&P40, SD9 and a 22A. I dont get to the range as often as I would like but I go a few times a month and always have at least one of my S&W guns with me :)
I own both, an SD9 and a fullsize M&P40 and can tell you that as much as I like the M&P, for the money the SD is a great deal. Depending on where you buy it is around $100 less and for some that means $100 more ammo to practice with, or a holster or a quality light.
The trigger on my SD has...
