    if it hasn't worked out in 150 to 200 rounds and countless dry fires it ain't going to . When it comes back I plan to use some Apex parts to remidy it .

    My Luck ran out with a 40c

    Do not take it apart ,no one likes working on a gun or car that someone else tinkered with and made it worse or lost or broke parts .Send it back , they will fix it . But B4 you do try some differant first quality ammo after cleaning and lubeing it . If the problem persists it needs repair/tweaking.

    My thumb never touched the slide release ,that is not the issue . I'm shure S&W will get it right what ever it is . I have 9 S&W revolvers ( my 2 circa 1976 19's are my favorite revolvers ),and 11 Semi auto S&W pistols ,and all are great weapons . IMHO the 1006 10mm is the best 10mm pistol ever...

    M&P back to S&W

    Sent my M&P 45c back to S&W for repair today . Slide will not stay open after last shot fired . Maybe the mags ,they do not fit flush with the bottom of the grip when fully loaded and are sloppy as hell when in the pistol empty. i also asked them to look at the trigger as it seams...

    Called S&W ,they are sending a call tag for pick up . I'm sure they can fix the problem.

    I found out that my M&P45 compact can digest ANY ammo without fail . Took it out and fired 300 rounds of old,mixed ammo ,even Wolf steel cased circa 1993 and not one FTF or FTE malfunction . There is however a issue on the mags or the pistol being out of spec , It will not hold the slide open...

    IF THE SLIDE RELEASE WAS A LITLE LARGER ,like a Sig,H&K ,Walther,or FN it would be less of a problem for us thin skinned guys with soft thumbs .

    NOPE ,it is hard and stiff with no mag as well . I tryed it with no mag in and the lever is small and hard to release .Just a bad design plain and simple .I'm 59 and have more weapons than you can imagine ,this is one of the worst slide releases there is .

    My M&P45c is one of the hardest I have ever felt,but I have big strong thumbs and can work it with one hand .They need to redesign it IMHO.

    I think I want a better reset and just polish the rest of the factory parts . This pistol is for CCW and has no safty,as such too light a trigger pull might not be the best way to go for safty . I never put my finger on the trigger unless I a'm aiming/pointing at a target . I know this trigger...

    CHEAPEST PLACE TO BUY A m&p 45

    Picked up the pistol at 1pm today from the FFL ,ran 200 rounds through it without a hicup . Fits in my kydex IWB holster for my H&K usp compact , walking around with it CCW now . Trigger is a bit stiff but not that bad .Going to do the trigger job myself as per the video .:D
