I figured it out. It was this screw on the frame. The head of the screw sticks out just a hair so I went ahead and dimpled the inside of the grips where the screw head sits. The gap is no longer there. Thanks for everyone's input, this forum is very helpful.

They are from eBay. Someone removed them from their 629 talo edition. These are the original grips on that gun, I believe they are made by altamond. I cannot return them, they are real wood and not laminate.

The fitment on these new grips are great with the exception of one spot. There is a noticeable gap on the top right of the grip. Is there anyway for me to warp the wood back in? Myabe soak it in water and keep pressure on it while it dries. Any ideas from you wood crafts people out there...
Thanks, you are 100percent correct. It was missing that roll pin. Since I am unfamiliar with grips that didn't use the bottom swivel latch and screw, I removed the entire assembly with the roll pin like an idiot. I put it back in with the new grips and it no longer rocks back and forth...
Here are my new Talo grips on my JM 625. The only issue I have is that the grips seems to wiggle forward/backwards if I apply enough force. Am I missing some type of mounting hardware? I scared to tighten the screw anymore, I don't want to strip it. Please does anyone know what's up? Is...
I currently have a trr8 and would like to get another 357 magnum 8 shot revolver to go with it. Does anyone know if there are any other .357 magnum 8 shot other than the 627s, vcomps, r8, and 327 pug noses. I prefer something with a 6" barrel but will settle with 5" and it must have a full...
So I just changed the rbound spring and I put everything back together on my trr8 and it seems to work fine. However I noticed this pin/rod and I'm not sure where it goes. Please help me identify where this goes
