fyimo, Thanks for the info. There is no "N" stamp on the cylinder near the extractor star or anywhere on the grip area. SN on the butt is D443xx. Good thing is that the lock-up and overall action is very tight and crisp. No evidence of flame cutting and zero erosion of the forcing cone...

I have a nickel 10-6 but the finish looks like a redo. As you can see the grip serial number has a large "X" over the actual SN, a number that matches the butt and the crane but without the "X". What does the "X" denote? pm:[email protected] Craig in Clarksville, TN
