    Thank you all for the kind words. The camera is just a little Canon Powershot A40 belonging to my wife. The photo seems to show a couple of scratches but in reality there are no marks that should not be there. I'll have to work on my technique before posting more pictures. No, the cylinders...

    This should be my 38/44. A transitional model produced in 1946. The photo does not do it justice. It is a matte blue, long action, five screw with the single line Made in USA stamp.
