    Honor Defense 9mm subcompact

Been following this company for a while. Saw their FIST model about a year or so ago. Didn't like it, I just don't need a pistol with an under bite. Saw and handled their compact model a few months ago. My opinion was changed almost instantly. I'm not about to run out and trade my Shield in...

    Shield .45

Well now I'm pizzed. I thought my 40 Shield was the best thing since sliced bread, just did not like the caliber. I traded it for a Kahr CW45. Never would of happened if there had been a Shield 45 back then. The Kahr is great, but the Shield has a better trigger reset and it takes down easier...

    S&W 9 Shield or Kahr CW9

Absolutely no problems with my Shield either. I'm just not a 40s&w fan. That's the only reason I traded it.

    S&W 9 Shield or Kahr CW9

A while back I went to trade my 40 Shield. My intention was to trade for a 9 Shield without the safety. Not really a big fan of either cartridge, I bought the 40 because at the time 40s&w was about all I was able to find on a regular basis. Anyway, I ended up with a Kahr CW45. The biggest...

    S&W M1917 Pawn Shop Find

Great deal. Look at Starline Brass or Remington. They make auto rim cases. Eliminates the moon clips for you.

    Potentially dangerous Shield Idiosyncrasy

I have the 40 Shield. When new, I could not fully load the magazines. Bought an Uplula. I can now load by hand but the last couple are still somewhat tight. I have three 6 round and three 7 round. None of them will accept an extra round.

Why doesn't the M&P have a "felt" reset

I can definitely feel the reset on my 40 Shield????

Late Release Shields: Do They Rack Any Easier?

I have the 40 shield, has quite a few rounds through it. My 80 year old father can not rack it.

    M&p shield 40 cal

The 40 shield is my primary carry. I do reload for it, using cast lead and unique powder. My favorite holster is the dual carry from MTR Custom Leather. It is a tuckable IWB that converts to pancake style when you want to carry OWB.

Is the M&P Shield a pocket gun?

I pocket carry my 40 Shield from time to time. It's ok as long as I'm standing, but prints when I sit or bend. I much prefer IWB with a good tuckable holster.

    SDVE Why not to purchase?

Been looking at the SDVE for some time now. Use would be nightstand , target, and occasional carry. It will be shot extensively. I have handled and fired the SD40VE, although I will probably get the 9. They are going for full retail around here, but I will be visiting family soon. There is an...

    Shield 9mm for CCW class?

By the way, check out MTR Custom Leather for your holster. He is local to NC, down around Asheboro somewhere. He makes good products. I use his dual carry model for my shield.

    Shield 9mm for CCW class?

Congrats on completing your ccw class. I was going to chime in and say use your shield because you had no experience with the 22 either. Anyway, looks like you did well.

    which one?

But I want them both! Actually thinking of some 3-gun competition. I am being told I will be dissatisfied with the limited round count of the shield.
