My father was a police officer for 26 yrs. He bought a S&W Model 59 when they first came out in the early 70's and carried it for duty. He taught me how to shoot on that gun. He was lucky; it fed everything from 115/124 gr hollowpoints/FMJs to his duty load of 90 gr Super Vel hollowpoints...

Beautiful gun Palmetto Sharpshooter! What caliber? Looks like you put a lot of love/work into that gun, especially the dehorning. How did you get the grips stippled? They look comfortable and one can really hang onto them.

Squidsix: New member here. If you don't mind me asking, did you start with a 4516-1, buy a 4566 slide and mate them together? Or how did you do that? It sounds like a great "conversion."
