Picked up an early 59 the other day, made just after the grooved rear strap. Been looking for one to go with the 39 to complete part of the collection. Disassembled to clean it and looked like it had not been cleaned in many years, took about 45 minutes to remove all the crud.

No, saw a 5” M 27 but when picked it up had severe top strap cutting. Idiot shot only light weight hot loads, crying shame as rest of pistol was really nice. One table had 3 M29s and there was a M 14 6” but crazy price and young dealer didn't want to trade. Few M 36s and some worn out M 10s.
Have to join this in saying I drove about 400+ miles, spent the night to go to a show. What a JOKE!!!!! Might have been 15 decent S&W revolvers that were WAY overpriced. Mostly black plastic guns. Last time I’ll go to Any More of that promoters shows.
The Original knife was a WWII german fallschirmjager knife , german paratroopers. Knife was to be used in working with parachutes thus the spike to undo knots and help in rigging.
Years ago when these were available a friend and I bought 30 of them to improve. I had a variety of nice hard to find old wood so we made wooden scales. This one is real ebony and somewhere have one in catalpa thats striped. Blade is marked “ Solingen” with a tree rat.

Bearman prayers for your healing. After 6 hand surgeries, two arm surgeries, replaced hip and 2 spinal fusions( only 1 worked) Im doing ok. Toughest was loosing wife of 53 years last year. Hitting the road soon to get away.
