    Offering another option: left handed shooter and use the rubber "decal" grip only on the left side grip area of my Shield. Right side grip area is left bare. Provides a sufficiently tacky feel where needed but leaves the right side grip area against my body smooth.

    How long will my gun be gone?

    Shipped my 386sc back for replacement of the Titanium cylinder on 4-3 and factory received it on 4-5. Received a letter from them on 4-12 saying "most repairs are completed.....within 2-3 weeks after receipt at the factory. Waiting.

    Thanks for the welcoming replies. My fairly diverse gun inventory currently includes 4 S&W models: 642, 3913, 686 4" no dash, and a 386sc. Again, this site contains a wealth of great info. from some truly knowledgeable and generous folks.

    New member from Ohio but no stranger to Smith and Wesson. Issued my first S&W, a Model 10, as a rookie cop in 1970 and issued and owned more than a few since then. Very informative and helpful site here.
