I got a USFA "pre war" a couple of years ago. 7 1/2" .44WCF. A fine gun it is.
Then I got a new Colt Frontier Sixshooter 4 3/4" a few months ago. The Colt is just about the most perfect SA I have ever had. It lives in an El Paso Threeprsons holster.
Both are good, new Colt's are better than...
Actualy they are accumulating the GPS data so they can use Predator drones with hellfire missles to take us out while we sleep. They know we are domestic terrorists with all of our hoarded guns and ammunition. They will write it off as natural gas malfunctions.
This is total BS that I made...
Many years ago I was in the pasture looking at the cows. Looked down and there was a 5 foot snatelrake about 10" in front of me. One more step and I would have been in the middle of him. How I jumped backwards 10 feet I will never know. I had a Colt's series 70 .45 automatic stuffed in my belt...
While it has never happened to me, they say you haven't lived until a buzzard comes through your windshield. They will puke inside and then you will have to sell the car cause you will never get the funk out of it.
I always slow way down when I see them feasting on something in or near the...
On second thought they were most likley Aggies trying to look like Longhorns. Aggies don't know the difference between a bullet proof vest and a ski vest.
The best cap guns I had were Kentucky Cadets during the Davy Crocket/Daniel Boone time in the early 60's. Wood stocks, metal barrels, had a ramrod to seat cork balls that were propelled by a greenie stickum cap.

Iv'e had a 1911 SC for almost 3 years and like it. Ditched the guide rod soon as I got it, don't like them. I like it better than my Colt's series 70 and my Kimber TLE II. But not as much as my Baer TRS.

The technology to post pictures here does not exist here so you will have too use your imagination: A M&P .38 spl from 1947 in a Tom Threeperson's holster (new) and '94 Win. carbine in .30WCF from 1949. Both guns have all the blueing on them still.
With all the new doohickys out there I feel...
While I have no idea when the .38 Special was introduced, I am suprised it was loaded with black powder. Shows you how much I know.
I was looking at a McLendon Hardware Co.(Waco,TX) catalog from around 1926 and lo and behold there is 158 gn black powder Remington's for $29.00 per thousand.
As one of my heroes once told me "you can always get more money but you can't get anymore time" If you want it get if you can, you may be to old to do anything with it if you wait too long.
