Well Ive dialed it back to reliably at 8lbs. I suspect this should set off most factory primers so Im going to start my testing here at the range today, before I start messing with federal reloads.

How much , if any, would the apex hammer lighten the trigger without doing a reduced power main spring? just the rebound spring. did you take weights before/after?

Oh I think as far as revolver triggers go its damn good. I have shot it this way for 9 years now. Love that gun. I just know in order to keep the pace in matches its probably best to lighten things up now.

Thanks, there are a couple different kits that have the main spring with 3 different rebound weights. I could try the rebound only at first, then maybe experiment with main spring after once I get the hang of this. Im debating also getting an extended firing pin to have on hand just in case, and...

All good points, but this is already a PC trigger thats 90% of the way there in smoothness and lack of snags in the trigger pull. This is more of a question of where do I turn to first to lighten the pull without overshooting the primers that I have on hand, and striking too light?

As a couple others have noted, I second the allchin mount highly. Great quality, and I learned about it from this forum so gave it a shot. Very pleased. Any picatinny option will keep the sight higher than even the allchin mount. You just pick from about 3 options to suit various hole patterns...

To answer your question about being forward heavy, yes, she definitely is. However, if you get used to it, shes a mega tac driver. Just won my latest steel challenge match with the 6" version! My best score yet. Although Im sure the 4" version would fly even quicker and sometimes wish I got the 4"

Yes it is a PC gun that is already chamfered. So Im not sure if attempting to tighten it would do me any good? Seems like there is play built in to the system i guess.
