I would say they are not interchangeable. For example Pachmeyer lists their grips as k- L frame square or round butt. N frame is listed as a different grip because the frame is larger on an N frame.
I use 2400 in my .357 's and my 44's .Not only is it accurate and gives plenty of velocity all achieved with non magnum Federal primers that go off every time on a tuned action...........
Got the same issue with CCI primers. They will not ignite about 30 % of the time on a tuned trigger - action. I use the federal primers with no problems............
