I have an 8” nickel Python barrel that I want to put on a 19-5 blued frame to make a pinto Smolt. Just haven’t found the right donor 19 or a P&R 19 cylinder yet.
I have a nickel 29-2 cylinder and 4” barrel that I have an eye out for the right donor frame. I’d really like a model 58 for a fixed sight 4” pinto but can’t find one in the right price range yet!
Sounds like we are all guilty of this sin. The last gun I purchased was one of the new pythons. Couldn’t resist it at $800 and the trigger is starting to grow on me. But back to old habits tomorrow when I’ll be doing the paperwork on a Mass. State Police 3” 65-2 I found on Saturday!
I would have bought that one too! I have a 8 3/8” 629, 57, and pre-27 that I’ve bought but is still in gun jail. The first two are fantastic shooters and suspect the incoming .357 should be even better.
I’ve been looking for one of those for years and still haven’t run across one yet. I did get its stainless twin in a 65-3 and wish I got it for your price!
I’m envious! I’ve been keeping an eye out for a nice period correct flap holster for my pre war k22/k38’s but have yet to find the right one. I think I need to keep an eye out for something comparable to this as well.
629 no dash 8 3-8”
629-5 4” V- Comp
629-4 Mountain Gun
629-2 Mountain Revolver
I have the beginnings of a lead on a 629-5 2.5” that is coming in to a local shop soon. Haven’t seen it and have my fingers crossed it’s a fixed sight Camfour but any 2.5” should be cool!
I appreciate all the good input. I have about 10lbs of unique (bullseye as well) so I’m hoping it will be available again by the time I use up what I already have.
I’m new to .44 specials and am prepping brass to load up some .44 ammo. I have a bulldog, 6.5” second model and a 696. Should the 7.5 gr of unique over the 255 gr Keith bullet be good to go in all 3?
