S&W Model 1955 target with 5 inch barrel help

Thanks for making me out to be a bad guy. Really appreciate that. That was never the plan. Feel free to ask around, those that personally know me know that I would not do something on purpose like that. I decided to show every marking on the gun I could find and didn't even know what those marks...

S&W Model 1955 target with 5 inch barrel help

Thanks again boys and girls. The owner of the shop said he's not waiting months for a stinking letter, so off to Gunbroker for 5 cents and no reserve she goes. Yes, there will be lots of pics. Thanks again for all the help and confusion, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)

S&W Model 1955 target with 5 inch barrel help

From what I've found out was that the 5 inch ones that lettered were also cut barrels, but left S&W as 5 inch barreled guns. Is this now incorrect ?

S&W Model 1955 target with 5 inch barrel help

Hello guys, I've been away for a long time and I'm sorry for that. I just recently stumbled on to what may be a pretty rare little 5 screw N frame. It's a model 1955, but this does not have the 6.5 inch barrel, it has a 5 inch long barrel. Does anyone know the serial numbers of the actual 5 inch...

    WTS S&W 5 screw Pre 26 model of 1950 45 in AZ

I have a very clean early Smith & Wesson 5 screw Model of 1950 45 ACP revolver. This one dates to 1952 I believe. Numbers all match including the original factory Diamond Grips. Shows some muzzle wear as can be seen in the photos. One small scratch on the frame, otherwise supper nice gun. No...

I need help with a First model Single shot 22

Man, that's the longest story I've read while not sitting on the crapper. Heh heh he I paid $1k for the gun. I'm guessing I'm in a HINKY gun alright then ? Thanks, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)

I need help with a First model Single shot 22

Thanks RT, Unlike you, I'm one to always want to know exactly what I have. However, you just don't always have that info in front of you. So, based on what you see and know, you have no way of telling a value ? Let's say you were at a live auction of firearms and this one came up for sale. What...

I need help with a First model Single shot 22

I'm curious as to what you guys feel is the current market value for what I have shows above. I'm pretty good at setting a value of more modern day firearms, but there's just not a lot of these out there to get a real feel for a value. What do you guys think ? Thanks, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)

I need help with a First model Single shot 22

The interesting thing was that the serial number on the butt and barrel matched. That's the only reason I stepped up and bought it. Do "we" recommend a letter on this one ? What are they charging for the letter ? I have Colt letters, but no S&W letters. Thanks again guys, Jeff (GUNKWAZY)
