Back in the ‘70s during pistol quals in the USMC, my friends would give me the empty brass instead of throwing it in the range boxes. I still have several thousand empty cases, complete with the crimped in primers!
I load on a Lee Classic Turret. I shoot a couple of hundred rounds a week and I have no trouble keeping up with that amount of shooting. And I have several hundred rounds in reserve.
My Model 15 snub is one of my favorite guns. It’s very easy to shoot well even with the short barrel. And I much prefer the square butt. Congratulations on a great gun and deal!
At the lower charges of 231 and the 200 grain SWC I would get a lot of soot on the fired cases showing that the case was not expanding very well. I would then increase the charge. I also shot a lot of 185 grain SWC’s. All my loading is with lead bullets.
