I purchased my first model 27 this past saturday :D and would like to know what year it dates to. It is blued P&R and 3T's 6 inch barrel s/n is N477XXX.

Here's mine. This is actually my first Smith. I purchased it about four years ago with holster. The holster is made from thin leather with a thin suade liner, stamped Monte Carlo hand made USA.
