I have heard that S&W has determined that all NM3 frames were manufactured before 1899 and are therefore considered antiques under Federal law, regardless of the date they were shipped. Is this correct?

I have two 2000 Schofields and i was wondering how the factory finish compares with the original Schofields. Was the same process used? anyone have a example of each to compare?

I just picked up a nice HE 2nd. one set of numbers ( 239xx) appears on the bbl flat, bottom of grip, and the cylinder. another number,(520xx) appears on the yoke and in the yoke cut. I'm used to seeing the SN on modern smiths in the yoke cut,so which of these is actually the SN? the frame has 2...

I have a 624 lew horton. I love this gun but I can't figure out why they put target sights on a combat gun... anyway i was wondering if anyone knows if the front blade is pinned in- i can't find any evidence of a pin, maybe the blade is part of the barrel? thinking of fitting it out with combat...
