I purchased a 27-9 in March. I know, I know about the annoying lock. When and if I find a 27-2, I will continue to shoot the -9, and simply admire the -2. The -9 shoots, nicely.
I purchased a Model 27-9 in March. I do not like the fact that it has an internal lock. I don't think I will ever use that. The top strap is gorgeous. I'm going to shoot this one until I find dash 2. Maybe then, I'll keep both.
At the range, I shoot .45 ACP simply to save a little cash. A bunch of us take the Governor's out to the Skeet Range. Hitting a moving target with the Governor, is fun. For home protection my Governor's cylinder is loaded in the following sequence:
1) Federal .410 Buckshot 4 Pellets 000Buck...
I have had mine since January. I have had it to the range, numerous times. This is my first semi/auto pistol. I have had revolvers since the early seventies. The 9c has been flawless. It's a fun pistol to shoot.
I'm not sure what I paid, but I became a Life Member thirty-six years ago. I was contacted by the NRA in February 2012. They convinced me to spend more to get my Endowment Member status. I'm proud that I have been a Member for such a long time.
I purchased my 9c the beginning of January for $509. I went to a shooting range, last Friday, and observed a 9c going for $699. Wait a little while, and do some shopping. I think you'll get one for around $500. Good luck.
Finally, after I found some ammo, and got my renewal FOID card, I was able to go to the range and shoot my 9c. I am very pleased with my purchase. I bought my 9c for $509 in early January. The very same pistol is now going for $699.
