Last I heard all new production M&Ps EXCEPT the .45's have the newer trigger. This is the interweb though, so take it for what you will. My 40 made in May of this year has a far better trigger than my buddy's which is 2 years old.

You should be able to find them from Storm Lake and KKM. Call S&W and ask them if they sell them. I've never seen factory 5in barrels for sale on any sites myself, but someone might know of them.

Ya can't cure stupid, be he sure got a big unwanted dose of medicine to help and try. Can't blame the gun for his mental lapse. Nothing i can say here that others haven't already.

I like Ballistol as a cleaner/lube combo. Hoppes #9 for cleaning the bore. And Good old Rem Oil for a drop of oil on the internals that require lube. I've tried a few of the new concoctions on the market today and keep going back to what's been working for me for the last 30+ years of cleaning...

Very nice job. Great work keeping the lines even and uniformly "straight". Looks awesome. I have neither the confidence or patience to try and stipple my M&P. I went with the rubberized Talon grips instead.

180gr Ranger-T or 180gr PDX1 when it can be found at a reasonable price. I'm quite fond of Winchester ammo. Considering giving the HST's a try though.
