It's going to be some time before I can make it to the revolver course. Is there any good matieral out there that would show how to cut and time the cylinder. I have a few donner pistols to pratice on.

Timing cutter
Thanks Gents for the info. I think it is included in the armors tool kit and it can be puchased from S&W. Hope to hit the revolver course next year.
When I went through the M&P pistol course at S&W an instructor showed me a net little tool for cutting the ratchet for timing. It slipped into the trigger slot and had a ratchet arm attached that would cut the ratchet on the cylinder as you pulled the trigger. Can any one educate me on this.
3 inch to 2 3/4 inch conversion?
I got mine to cycle with no failures with 3 inch shells, which it's made for. My question is what would I have to do so it would cycle 2 3/4 shells?. Would I have to buy the 2 gas port barrel or is there some other "relieable" mods I could do.

Revolver Coating
I've used both DuraCoat and Gunkote on both aluminum and steel frames. Dura Coat is OK on steel and better if you use the DuraPhos pretreatment....not good for Aluminum. I won't use DuraCoat for revolvers anymore. For revolvers I use Gunkote or ceracoat. I did my daughter's 586...
