WTB: **Found One. Thanks Mike** Cylinder stop for 4 screw N frame

Mike: I received an email notification of your post, but nothing is showing up here on my end. Could you PM or email me? I don't know what's going on with the site, but I really want to get in touch with you. [email protected]

WTB: **Found One. Thanks Mike** Cylinder stop for 4 screw N frame

Going nuts trying to find one. The parts places all want to sell me one for a 3 screw, and then argue when I say it won't work. I would love NOS oversized, but I'll be happy with one without significant wear at this point. Even a point in the right direction would be appreciated. Thanks.

    A Couple of Pre-War 22-40 Masterpieces

I'm a little confused, which isn't that unusual, but most often I can sort it out before embarrassing myself in public...which I am probably about to do. Based upon expert testimony, there were only 1067 of the .22-40s built, and most of the examples here fall into the 684xxx range, and yet...

Cylinder stop for 29 no dash?

Thanks, man. Complete brain fart on my part; didn't even think of them, and I've bought parts there before...just never for a Smith. Again, thanks.

Cylinder stop for 29 no dash?

My 29 no dash has a lot of slack when cocked (or not) and the cylinder stop shows signs of significant wear. I tried Brownell's, but they only stock stops for more recent (post 4 screw) 29's. Anyone have an idea where I might look for this part? I tried GB, but no luck.

    240557 Magnas

Thanks, Bob, but I'm not in the market for any grips. I suspect the original magnas from my gun were destroyed during a life-time of carry in a cop car. The 240557 set I refer to above were probably replacements, and certainly show the same kind of wear. I just posted on the off chance the...

    240557 Magnas

My 29 no dash came with a set of Magnas that had been worked really hard, and then treated even worse. I understand there are some wizards on the site who might be able to make them presentable, but it isn't something I would do because they don't number to my Smith...which came out of the gate...

    Asking your thoughts on a four-screw Pre-29

Wow, you're asking us? This is supposed to work the other way around. Is everyone else as intimidated at the prospect of this opportunity as I am? I don't have a pre-29, I only buy shooters, and this one is too rich for my blood, so who cares what I think. But if you have questioned your...

    need help with my M29-3

Sorry about the abrupt response. Lousy small motor control...or something. Anyway, go to Brownell's, check the bottom of the page under "Ordering" and click on "Schematics". Find your Smith, and then the part name. They also provide their order numbers, etc.

The only time I've ever seen a .41 Magnum on movie/tv

Hah. Remember it well; probably the only scene from that series that I do remember. I was quite young, but it was the dawn of the realization that the boys in blue had an agenda that was significantly at odds with the rights of the individual. Oh, and as I recall, he had a concealed carry...

    ***Found One*** WTB: S&W 24-3

I'm looking for a 24-3 shooter, either 4" or 6". Because it will be carried and shot a lot, condition isn't of primary importance. I would also be interested in one of the 5" models folks had modified back when we were under Skeeter's spell. Let me know...even if you only know a guy, who...

    RE: 29 no dash

Thanks, Bill. And thanks for the long answer. I'm sure a lot of other folks, like myself, tuck these nuggets away for later reference.
