    Best place to live?

I moved from Ohio to South Carolina. No regrets. Mountains, Mountain Lakes fishing. trout fishing. Salt water, kinda scrawny little dear, turkeys. Open carry and pretty good gunshows. Do get the occasional hurricane. All my liberal friends here keep moving back to their home states

My 1917 is in pretty good shape. As noted, it shoots well. Also, I like the half moon clips but I do have one of th0se load/unloader tools

    Two Firefighters Murdered in Idaho

After spending almost 10 years in the Public Defenders office in Cincinnati Ohio, I learned more than I ever. wanted to know about the weak spots in the public health system. Shutting down confined mental health facilities was not the best way to cure the horrible problems of dealing with...

    M1917 Questions/Opinions

Welcome to the forum. Congratulations on having a good looking revolver that you need not be afraid to shoot. The model 17 was in use in both the first and second world wars. The 45 auto cartridge is no slouch and is fun to shoot and readily available. Enjoy it.

.38 Special or .357 for EDC

I believe thee OP's question was specifically about the 38 Special v the 357. I have two revolvers that I carry in those calibers, both Model 66: a four inch and a 2 1/2. I carry the 2 1/2 more ofter than the four inch (note I misidentified the 2 1/2 as a Model 19 above). If we want to drift...

    Beretta tomcat 32ACP

I like my 32 beret. It is a hoot to shoot, loud, muzzle flash and throws empties 6 ft up in the air. Shoots well for it size and the tipup barrel is very convenient . Mine is the Inox version

.38 Special or .357 for EDC

Shoot what you are comfortable with in practice. In a crisis situation you are not going to notice what is going on. I used to shoot on a collegiate pistol team (they actually had those 60 years ago). I had a High Standard Supermatic Citation and then I bought a M41 Smith. A single action...

    Model 41 Ammo Suggestion

In shoot CCI standard velocity and ELY standard velocity and ELY match in my 41. They all function well, I believe the Ely is cleaner. I shoot better with the ELY match but I also believe it is because I am more careful when shooting the expensive ammo. The same in my High Standard...
