    M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

Just finished installing the JP Enterprise Modular Hand Guard. Despite the gap, this thing looks exactly the way I wanted it.

The 15-22 becomes alot less important...

Our company is doing a donation match. I'm bringing my checkbook to work tomorrow. I live in CA but this tornado (and many like it) was more devastating than most I've heard of and I'll be donating to help out those in need.

Shooting is expensive these days... Other hobbies

My hobby has been kept simple when I'm not reloading. I drive the car I built - a Factory Five MkIII Roadster. It took 3 years to complete and have about 18,000 miles. I just think of an excuse to go somewhere that has no time table for a return and I will always take the long way home. Other...

Best looking free float hand guard and barrel shroud

I put in an order for the JP Enterprise handguard. It looks slimmer and basically, won't make mine look like the guy next to me and the other guy next to him with M&P 15-22's! Hope it looks as good as advertised. As you can tell, this question has no right or wrong answer. :D

Anybody else feel obsessed about their M&P 15-22?

LOL, I guess you're right; I don't know when TC stopped making the 7mm TCU but I've had that since around the mid 80's; mine is 14" (Super14); I also have a 10" bull barrel .44 and recently I purchased a .223 23" stainless rifle barrel for it along with a synthetic stock. The versatility of the...

Picked up a new 627-5 PC

This is my 2nd revolver but it's been 18 years since I sold my first revolver, a Sturm and Ruger Security Six that I purchased back in the late 1970's. When I sold my Security Six around 1989, I had a neutral feeling about it. I wasn't shooting it much and it had never felt as good as my...

Anybody else feel obsessed about their M&P 15-22?

The one thing I really enjoy with the 15-22 is the fact that it's the only rifle I can take to an indoor range as well as an outdoor range. Can't do that with my .223 or my 7mm TC/U. I'm not really addicted to the 15-22 as of late. I've just picked up a new 627-5 PC last Friday and shot it for...

    Red Dot Scope Recommendation

Mine is a Tasco Red Dot for about $40. Most red-dot sights will suffice on a low-recoil rifle like the M&P15-22.

Loading the magazine - my thoughts.

At first I hated loading my magazine... keep in mind, I can only load 10 because I live in CA, but all the same, I had this little screw driver from a model, and stuck it in the hole of the riser and just pulled down on it and load in the ammo. I have the magazine between the knees. Pretty darn...

    Magpul AFG2...

I like the afg from magpul. Looks ok too. Could I have done without it? Yes. But as mentioned before, it is a personal preference matter. I'll just say I'm not removing it anytime soon. Here it is before I moved it forward (ignore the TC):

    New to the 15-22

Welcome to this forum. You'll have a lot of fun with this rifle. I tried out the 555 ammo and it shoots nice and tight at least at 25yrds. I've yet to take it out to 50 and 100. Only mods were a Tasco red-dot, Hogue grip, and originally, a Troy rear backup-site but I've since swapped it to a...

    .22 LR round

Good read. Thanks for that. I always felt that as long as you have good placement, a .22LR can get the job done as well as any other caliber.

    Does YER wife LOVE shooting???

My wife knew when we were dating, that I had a firearm, a Ruger Security Six. By the time we married, I added a Thompson Contender and a reloading press. She finally wanted to shoot when I purchased a Beretta 92FS and she enjoyed it. She didn't want to shoot the "cannon", which was the...
