We both carry a S&W Shield 9MM with 124 grain Gold Dot hollow points regardless of the time of year. Carry it in our pocket, IWB, OWB, but mostly pocket carry. It melts away no matter where you carry it and is the most comfortable carry gun I've had yet.

My wife and I both carry the Shield 9mm, love it and I think you will too. We carry Gold Dot 124 Grain in them. Great ammo and our guns fire them with no problem. Try some different rounds and choose the one your gun shoots without fail, and you can shoot accurately.

My wife shot her new 9mm Shield flawlessly with around 25 rounds of practice ammo after she received it, I cleaned it for her before she fired any rounds through it. It ate every round of the American Eagle 115 grain practice ammo she shot. My daughter-in-law wanted to try it a couple of weeks...
