ANY TIPS ON LONG TERM BATTERY STORAGE FOR AR ACCESSORIES?

I have often scratched my head when I see or hear of folks keeping batteries in the fridge to extend their life. Hello.....Am I missing something?

May I say what most of us already know?

I agree with Saxon, he covered it from A to Z. If you hang out here for a while and do a little research, you can ballpark it. That is the best any of us can do. If you collect for the joy of it, then be happy with what you do.

    Need Model and approx age

This is the kind of history behind some of the old guns that gives them very high "cool factors."

    Annual Qualifications

Not to brag, but I can do what you did there. Easy. I do have problems with people saying they never actually see me shoot. Then there are all the questions about the powder burns on the targets. I have to keep explaining over and over that it's just the bullets fragmenting when they hit...

    Georgia Peach (albeit overripe)

I see all white officers. I' m curious when they started employing black officers.

    NHPD Regulation Police

I like that one....a LOT. And it has history to boot.

well, that was weird,I got hit by a deer..

I hit a bear that crossed the road near Flagstaff, Arizona. I was doing near 60 when he darted across the road. After I hit him, I stopped. He got up, wobbled around a bit and got his land legs and walked off. My Toyota pickup's grill and hood was caved in and I had to be towed. This...

    question on one line address

I believe that the four line address began after 1948, when did the one liners begin? In the mid 20s I am guessing. Also was it the same for all frames? Thanks in advance for the help.

    1950 Target 44, 4-inch, Bright blue

Where do you guys find these things. I always thought they were just legends, where folks like Elmer Keith and Skeeter talked about them around the campfire. You know the things they would say, like shooting deer at 700 yards with a 1950 Target, while warming up tamales on the engine block of...

    MY HD 38/44....

I don't know much, but looks like a post war transitional made between 1946 and 1950. I would guess yours was shipped in 47 or 48. Just a guess. Cool gun, as all Heavy Duties are.

    Forcing cone cleanup

I agree it may be a timing issue. Use a range rod to check the barrel cylinder alignment.

    1951 pre-27. It's awesome!

What are you gonna do with that holster? You can't stuff that work of art in it and drag it around out in the sticks can you? That would be akin to taking a beautiful woman, dressed in a formal gown, out to a red neck bar for an evening of mud wrestling.

    Model 18 accuracy

With Federal ammo, my pre 18 will shoot about 2 inch groups at 25 yards from a rest. With Eley Sport a bit tighter. I have best results by sorting the .22s by rim thickness. But not by a whole lot.
