    317 LNIB $470 - Should I Buy It?**BOUGHT IT**

I had a 317 pre-lock for many years, but didn't shoot it much. A few years ago I decided to get it out and after one box of ammo I discovered a cracked frame under the barrel lug. I sent it back to S&W and asked them to replace it with the 43C, and they did. One of the first ones out. I really...

Illinois rules at Indiana "Rural King" stores

Rural King gun policy I don't know about other Rural King Stores in the area, but the one in Martinsville DOES NOT copy customer's driver license. When they give a customer a gun to look at they put the license in the spot where they removed the gun from so they can keep tract of who has what...

Anybody seen a new model 63 lately?

S&W 63 at Gander Mountain I saw a new S&W 63 - 3 inch version at Gander Mountain in Indianapolis yesterday.

    Where are all the guns

Have any of you tried Gander Mountain lately? Not for ammo-there isn't any. But the two stores in Indianapolis have added a new large gun store that streaches across the whole back of the store, and they just got in thousands of guns, rifles, shotguns and the best supply of handguns I have seen...

My M&P Shield pics, internals, compare to Kahr CM9, M&P9c, Aprex sear, safety info

Take-down lever When you took your Shield apart, did you use the new take-down lever or just pull the trigger like other M&P pistols? I tried to use the lever like in the manual, but it wouldn,t come apart.

    S&W 19-2 vs 19-3

I forgot to mention that both have four inch barrels and target stocks.

    17-6 info appreciated

My 17-6 has a BDS serial number and I bought it new in 1989. It has a 6 inch barrel and S&W Combat stocks. Otherwise it looks just like yours.

    S&W 19-2 vs 19-3

Thanks for the replies. I think I will keep the 19-2. It has the TH & TT while the 19-3 has the SH & ST. I know that back in the old days, S&W made model changes to improve or eliminate problems, and wondered if the change from 19-2 t0 19-3 made the 19-3 a better gun.

    S&W 19-2 vs 19-3

If you had both a S&W 19-2 & 19-3, both in 98% condition, and could only keep one, which one would you keep and why?

Any "Original" 17-6 and 617-0 purchasers out there?

Engine49guy, My 17-6 is a 6 incher that came with the smooth Combat grips. The serial number is BDS 95XX and purchased new in 1989. Like I said earier, when the guns were sold or traded, the grips were often kept by the previous owners.

Any "Original" 17-6 and 617-0 purchasers out there?

Mine came with the smooth combat grips. Often people would keep these grips when they sold the gun or traded it in.

    Law Enf. marked hand guns

When the Marion County, Indiana Sheriff Department went to semi-autos in 1988, officers could buy their S&W 66's for $200.

    Review 43C, 351C, LCR 22 snubbies

I have had my 43C since last December. It was a replacement from S&W for my no-lock 317 that had a cracked frame. The 43C has a much better trigger than the 317. I have shot over 1000 rounds of 5-6 different brands of 22 LR ammo without any binding of the cylinder or FTF's. No problems at all. I...
