The damage on the inside near the trigger guard prevented me from bidding more, as the photos didn’t show this angle. With shipping and tax these are ~$475 and like Weatherby said can fetch $550-600 as these are very scarce 1950s targets to find these days

Looks like factory work. The red ramp is a plus but i think original shipped 1950s were a regular ramp so perhaps a conversion. The 5” 1955s had a red ramp if memory serves. Here’s mine:
