Roadrunner, nice wall of goodies that you've collected. I've got a few on my wall here, but it's been a long time since I've been in competition. Gonna change that this year as time allows.
I would love to give the 625 a run.... just to see if my smallish hands could handle it. I love the...
pfCustom, I would love to use a Md. 625 but I have small hands and that big frame just doesn't fit well. Love the gun and I think I could shoot it well, if it was on a smaller frame.
David, wow, that is a low pf, for sure. I remember back in the day, my 3" gun wasn't making the 125pf and they...
Awesome info, Wolverine ! I really appreciate that. I will get one of the NC Stars for a trial. Hey I can always use it on something else, if I don't like it or decide to upgrade. Again, thanks my friend !
Blessings !
Great photos, Doggie. Nice setup. Thanks for info.
Wolverine, I looked at one of the Burris Dots today, man it's small. Perfect for that 45 deg. Mount. Couldn't pull the trigger on the $250 price tag, though. :-)
David, didn't realize the power factor had been lowered that much for SSR. I thought it was 125pf? Not sure what I'm gonna do. Prob a little bit of everything. :-).
Jeb, just saw a Md. 15 at local gun shop. It's been parkerized and the hammer is bobbed, but has nice trigger pull. Not a collectors piece by any means, but might make a good IDPA gun.
Hey APS, I had a model 19, years ago. It was a 4" and a great shooter. That's been back in the '70s. It's long gone, like many of some great guns that I wish I still had. Alas, life happens and family is first, when money is tight.... Something had to go. :-( so I threw out the kid. LOL... Just...
Hey Mark, thanks for the info. I know where a 4" M66 is right now for $400. Maybe a little high, but it looks to be in good shape. That might be a good choice for me. :-)
Hey Wolverine, thanks for this info. That is awesome. Love this forum, pretty well find out anything you need to know from someone that "has been there and done that".
I believe just handling my AR's it would be an easy acquisition, like you stated. I have a DPMS with just a dot on top, if it...
Anyone running a scope on top with a Reflex Dot on a 45 degree offset?
What are you using ?
Pros and cons of doing this.
We have some .22 and pistol cartridge tactical matches in our area. I'm considering running this set up. Close stuff taken with the dot, long range with the scope.
Thanks for that info. I had not thought of the GP100, I'm sure it works well. I really enjoyed the revolver competition in IDPA. It was fun and a challenge.
I shot a S&W Md. w/3" barrel years ago. Wish I still had that little gun. Let someone talk me outta it. :-(. I thought it was a model 60, but that's wrong. It looked like a 60, but was 6 shot, not 5. I can't for the life of me remember what it was. Great IDPA SSR.
