    Refinishing Gun Magazines

A buddy of mine bought a bunch of Dura-coat a couple years ago. He used a couple of my FAL and AR mags to practice on. Man that stuff is pretty tough.

Are USGI 1911A1s too fragile to shoot? (Updated - now with some pics)

I have a WWl 1911 that was made in 1917. It has obviously seen the elephant. I bought it in 1987 for $100 and plan to continue to shoot it until 2017 when then I will retire it to safe queen status.

    Indiana State Police S & W 357 Magnum Model 66

Your gun was not an ISP issued gun. It was a commemorative that the ISP Association commisioned in the late 70's or early 80's. While the ISP issued 66's DID have the ISP badge logo, they didn't have the badge number. Those were only on the commemoratives. This info is per a retired ISP...

    Reaction to annual rabies/distemper shots

I've seen the lethargy in both dogs and cats after getting vaccinated. I've also seen no reaction whatever from them in some dogs and cats. It seems to be aligned with the personality of the pet. If they are very active and have a strong constitution, it doesn't seem to bother them. If the...

How about your favorite USAAF / USAF movie

Don't forget "Command Decision" with Clark Gable! Deals with the Schweinfurt raids and ME262's and Komets. It goes good as a second feature to "12 O'Clock High".

What kind of speedloader is this??

Too bad they don't make a 6 round .357 for 27/28's. The .357 N frame they show is an 8 rounder.

68 years ago today- The Doolittle Raid

I have nothing but total admiration for the Doolittle Raiders. They took on what they were told was a suicide mission. They succeeded in raising the moral of the American people at the lowest point of the war and most survived the mission.1 Two months later, the Battle of Midway turned the...

I spent the weekend in the shadow of hero’s. Medal of Honor Recipient

Sgt. Sammy Davis still lives in Indiana and is very visible at memorial services, Memorial Day, July Forth and Veterans Day. I had the honor to meet him at the Traveling Wall at Ft Benjamin Harrison a couple of years ago. You can not meet a better American and is a most humble hero.
