I have the opportunity to purchase a stainless, 686-5, 6" barrel. It was made 2/19/01, serial number CER2264. The asking price is $625. Please tell me what you think about this revolver and the price. Thanks for your advice.

Oh, reeaaallyy!! I beg to differ. Shot mine yesterday about 8-10 times and boy is the shoulder sore today. Course I had nothing but a T-shirt on and the SlugMaster has no recoil pad. Ouch! Funny thing is when you shoot a deer you don't even notice any "kick". Is it deer season yet???!!?!?!
