    Question about 642 internals

Thank you very much for the reply (I'm new to the forum and still a little confused about finding posts that reply to my questions, so I'm late with my thanks here.) I defer to your (clearly) superior knowledge of S&W guns and will continue to carry my 642 with the confidence that it is an...

    Question about 642 internals

I read recently (I think here at the forum) that the 442 and 642, since they have shrouded hammers, forego the hammer block. The thinking seems to be that, since nothing can touch the hammer, there's no need to block it from the firing pin. I have seen on several sales sites, though, that the...

    Accuracy: Revolvers vs. Semi-autos

Well, I went to the range today with my first revolver, a S&W 643 (snub). I have a SIG P-250, just as you do. With the SIG, I can put round after round on a target with little effort. New to revolvers & just bought S&W 642- I have 1 question

    New to revolvers & just bought S&W 642- I have 1 question

I've shot semi-autos my whole life, but never revolvers. I wanted something accessible when I'm out walking & dressed like an Eskimo here in the north, something I can CC in a coat pocket holster; I don't like really small pistols like the LCP for pocket carry, a matter of personal preference...

    Polish P64 9X18

P-64 good news and bad The P-64 is a quality firearm, but one that is definitely NOT for novices. It is accurate, small, relatively light, and has holster choices (I carry it in one made for the Walther PPK and the fit is perfect). Those are the good points. On the negative side, it's DA...
