No, They are two much smaller springs. They fit into the lower receiver just to the rear of the trigger. The pistol grip holds them in place. Thanks for replying. Jim Six- jamessix

loose SAFE switch I replaced the pistol grip on my S&W M&P 15-22 with a MAGPUL grip. The two springs that the grip holds in place came out. I didn't know they were there. I reinstalled them with the MAGPUL grip. Now the SAFE switch works loosely and the pin near it that moves to allow the...- jamessix
