Well, let's just say that down here, you have to shoot at least 2.5K rounds a month for it to be mildly cost effective. And thats after .state permits and a boat load of stamps ;) But yeah, im playing with the idea of jumping in.

686-1 Function Question, pics of problem

Hey guys, i recently bought a used 686-1 (M) revolver and today i noticed something strange. Sometimes when i drop the hammer using my thumb, the hammer catches on some sort of "half-cock" and stays there until i either pull the trigger or return it to "cocked" I was wondering if this is...

Down here in PR we need to have the gun for the caliber of ammo we are buying, so a beat to hell .38 is on my "to buy" list just so i can get .38 ammo for this one. I must say, this thing rocks and i haven't even shot it yet. The pull is...

    steel or brass

Id say "good to go". Ran around 300 rounds of steel cased ammo thru my 9mm Pro at a IPSC event a couple weeks back with zero problems. Gun was dry too and temp was hot. J

Yeah, i think even if the thing needs some work it's a no brainer to jump on it. I'll drive down tomorrow to pick it up and, if time permits it, send some rounds down the pipe to see how she handles. I'll be sure to post pics of the Range Report!!! Thanks for all the input guys, much...

He is a straight up guy, it's just that he might not know how to check either if you know what i mean. Are those the only "hotspots" to check or is there somewhere else where i might need to keep an eye out for? Thanks J
