    Chest rig for 3” 629

simply rugged While Simply Rugged has been mentioned what you need to know is that they make an adapter for their Chesty Puller system that will allow most ALL of your holsters to adapt to this system. The only ones that do not work are very wide Pancake styles that will not fit into the...

    Model 14-1

Accurate Many years ago the 14-1 I owned was with me on a trip in Colorado. I was able to take three blue grouse with only three shots from that fabulous pistol. I did have to start with the one on the bottom and work up the tree. An amazing memory!

    Interesting decision by the F.B.I.

Is it possible that a government influence peddler that stands to gain mightily from this, has just pulled off another drain on our pockets? M

Odd Stance on a "Bear Gun" Caliber

after reading too much on the internet I bought my first Glock last week. It's a model 29 SF that will hold up to 16 rounds of 10 millimeter ammo. A trip to the range yesterday showed I could hit with about one third the group size of my very familiar to me 629 Mountain gun. Its my new Ultimate...

    Browning Challenger

owned JW I owned a Medalist 20 years ago when I was in a High Standard Victor phase. Super nice pistol in every respect but not being a competition shooter elected to go minimal. I did own the Nomad about a year ago which was my recent exposure to these pistols. I could shoot it very well...

    Browning Challenger

trigger adjustment Jack The rear trigger adjustment is pretty straightforward. Based on your picture it is probably out about as far as you want to go. Although I took mine out a little further and put an O-ring under the screw to keep it from moving out under recoil. If you have not messed...

    Browning Challenger

belgium challenger trigger Having owned two of the Belgium Challengers I wanted to comment on my experience with their triggers. Both broke clean and crisp with a measured 2#4oz. The over-travel could be set right at perfect with the screw that could be accessed after removing the barrel...

The ultimate 3" picture thread. More three inch madness.

Alaskan Backpacker During a quick review of this great thread I did not see mine here yet. Its my only 3 incher from Gart Brothers back in the 90's. Its a 629-4 that came with 4 magnaports and is not too bad to pull the trigger on. Not sure how to upsize the pictures but may learn someday...

    S&W 41 7" barrel/Leupold 4X EFR

Very nice older barrel minus rear sight. It has a few minor marks in overall excellent condition with no rust or freckling on the bluing. Bore is mirror bright and a perfect crown. No dry fire marks on chamber as I use snap caps and it’s been in my possession for over 20 years. The Burris...

    1st post from Colorado

Looking forward to finding information about the different rear sight options for my A series model 41. I have a couple of older 5 1/2" barrels and a 7" barrel without sights and a like new 5" field barrel coming next week. I will probably pass one of the 5 1/2" barrels on to someone in need...
