Hi All In my quest to purchase a used S&W I found a 617 that has been buffed by the previous owner. It looks just like nickel. He did a very good job. Do you think he devalued the gun by doing this? Jim

Hi All Need some good advice!! I found a used, like new 617 with wood grips and 6 cylinder. The price is very close to a new one with black grips and 10 shot cylinder. Which one would you buy and why? Tks Jim
