    Model 10-8 help

gotcha. I did end up getting to take the grip off just now and it was an 11D prefix which aligns with: 9D44,501 – 17D8,900………1982 If I'm not mistaken, making it a 1982 Mod. 10-8.

    Anyone have a PC637?

the wyatt 637 has a polished/contoured trigger, polished cylinder flutes, bobbed hammer, and an 'action job' which I can only equate to a spring kit, as well as the hip grips. And the gunsmoke logo/wyatt deep cover line on the side. I bought one Saturday, and the firing pin sticks. Submitted...

    637-2 sticky firing pin syndrome

I don't think it's the firing pin itself, I think it's actually the channel that it rides in. I noticed some of the machining on the frame didn't really look 100% once I got the side plate off to check it out and clean it, so I'm wondering if it's maybe just machined too tight or burred toward...

What is an unfired model 642 worth?

3-400. The MSRP on a brand new one from the factory is $459, but nobody hardly ever pays MSRP anymore. For example, the MSRP on my 637-2 wyatt was $549, I picked it up for $475. Following that model, that's ~14% off MSRP, meaning your 642 would be $359 new in a store.

    637-2 sticky firing pin syndrome

See that's odd, I find the rebound spring to be pretty adequate. I don't think that would have much effect on the trigger pull so much as the mainspring does. I called S&W today and they had me fill out the online warranty form. Anyone have any experience with how long it'll take before I get...

    637-2 sticky firing pin syndrome

Yeah I bought it more because of what it is rather than what's written on it. The gun smoke logo looks to be painted or screened on so might be removable, the 'Wyatt deep cover' seems the same. It has a really sweet trigger although I suppose an apex kit on any j frame would be the same. Ill...

    637-2 sticky firing pin syndrome

Yeah that's the part I'm bummed about. Literally had it for an hour before discovering the problem and I was planning on starting to carry it right away. Shakes my confidence in the piece as well.

    637-2 sticky firing pin syndrome

Hey all, Been a member for a while but haven't been on since I sold my M&P years ago. Today I picked up a brand spankin' new 637-2 wyatt deep cover, and I absolutely love it...except for this one issue I'm having. I dry fired it a couple times a few minutes ago and noticed that the firing pin...

    Hey all! New guy

Hey guys, new guy here. Located in RI and just purchased my first piece for myself, a factory demo S&W M&P .40 full size. I've been around guns for a while but this is the first one I've bought for myself. Mostly going to be used for home defense but also going to be going to the range now...
