Good Evening. I can not find a schematic which identifies the little machined button that is on the left side of every revolver, above the trigger where the cylinder moves back and forth (when open) and makes contact with.
I always thought that this little protrusion or "button" sticking out...

I was able to determine that the problem was the cylinder stop. I first replaced the spring with no change. I replaced the original cylinder stop with a used one and the lock-up issue went away.
