    Model 327 M&P R8 Holster Options??

I got a Blade Tech holster for mine, it took about a month to get but it is made so you can have the light rail mounted if you have the TRR8. http://www.blade-tech.com/SRB-...Approved-pr-939.html No the Sidearmor holster for a full lugged stainless gun will not work, the barrel shroud is too big.

odd new sound after I installed new springs in my 19-3

I have a 19-4 that I put the Wolff spring kit in and it sounds just like you describe. The mainspring is what is making the sound don't worry about it.

Oil or wax to protect the finish ?

Thanks I will give that a try, the 27 has been sitting a while I would hate to see it rust from lack of attention.

Oil or wax to protect the finish ?

What do you guys that wax your guns do about areas like the rib on most S&W revolvers that has been blasted and serrated or worse yet a mod. 27? Do you oil that area or go ahead and wax?

    gun safe dehumidifiers

I have a Remington silica canister that you can plug in to recharge. I have to plug it in every 1-2 weeks depending on how humid it is, only cost $20.

    What do you actually CCW?

I carry a 4" 686+ in a Milt Sparks VMII and usually a 442 in a Nemisis pocket holster also.

Best 12 Gauge Shotgun Load For Home Defense

The Federal Tactical 00 buck low recoil is the best I have found aside from Hornady TAP. Both patterned extremely well. Winchester ranger had a noticably larger pattern beyond 10 yards.

    what ammo. to carry?? .38

Hornady makes some .38 special non +p loads in the old XTP line and a load in the new Critical defense line. Buffalo bore has a standard .38 load also but they are very expensive.

    Model 646

Another run of the 646 would be nice make them all stainless with a Mickulek grip and maybe a partial lug 4" barrel.

Grip suggestions for a new 642

There are the Hogue wood bantam grips also. They are about $60 at Natchez shooters supply.

Looks and collectabily aside, which is the better made revolver

The 686 is stronger and will last longer shooting magnums. The drawback is more weight which means less percieved recoil but more weight to carry around. It depends on the use but the 686 is the more robust of the two.
