If you can get past the looks of Desert Eagle commander they are nice shooters. I have that and a SW1911SC. The S&W is a really good looking gun and shoots real nice. The Desert Eagle shoots almost as well.
1911SC with over 6,000 rounds and no problems. Mostly RN reloads but it likes Federal Hi-Shok JHP and HST. It does not like Winchester Ranger RA45T. Ramp looks fine.
Sounds like time to send it back to S&W. I have a 1911SC that would do that occasionally when new. I sent it in and they reworked the feed ramp. Round count over 5,000 and working well. It doesn't like all magazines, but does like the S&W that came with the gun, Ruger 7 rounders and an 8 round...
I use the Lee Autodisk and you have to measure the powder weight. The recommended settings haven't been very accurate for the powders I've used, Accurate #7, W231 and CFE Pistol.
Send it back to S&W. I had a similar issue with a 1911SC and was getting sour on the gun. I sent it back, they worked on the feed ramp and barrel, may have even been a new barrel, and a few other things. Got the gun back and it's great.
Nice gun! For the holster you might look at Tucker Gun Leather. I have the Texas Heritage IWB for my 1911 SC. The work is good and the people are nice to deal with. I see the HF2 belt holster can be ordered for an accessory rail.
I have both 9mm shield and M&P 380. I like the 380 but love the Shield and only carry the 380 when I need pocket carry. I live in Texas and the 380 drops in shorts pocket. Having both is nice.

I've got over a thousand rounds through mine. The more I shoot it the better it/or me shoots. Old Faithful IWB holster. Trigger is fine for a carry gun. Father-in-law was a LEO and used a heavy trigger on his carry gun, said he didn't want to pull a round off by mistake when adrenalin...
SW 1911SC on gunsinternational
I got a two tone 1911SC a month ago from a D&L Shooting Supplies listing on Guns International. I've gotten two guns from them and both transactions went well. I see they also have some listed now. I love mine. Gun shoots nice.

Tanks for the comments. Attached is a pic of the gun and the firsts 150 rounds results. Several layers of stick on's used. As far as better guns, I'm pretty much stuck on Smiths for now, but I did look very hard at some Kimber Ultra carrys.
Hi guys, I've got some M&P's and like them a lot. I saw the SW1911SC, drooled over it for about 4 months and then got one. I am floored by how accurate it is and was talking to another guy at the range. He said that after 400 to 500 rounds they get worn in and shoot much better. Has anyone else...
