    2" 15-3 With Serrated Trigger

Here's the rogue's gallery of K frames; [URL=http://s320.photobucket.com/user/jchannum/media/016_zps619570c3.jpg.html] The K22 is upper right, the Model 14 is wearing a set of grips I had kicking around for a while. The hand ejector is in 32-20. The stamping inside the yoke of the 2" is an ID...

    2" 15-3 With Serrated Trigger

Thanks for the response. I have re-reread the SCSW, and it is not really clear if the reference is to non-dash Model 15's or even pre Model 15's. The 2" satisfies my inner Junior G-Man and will join my 14-3 and 4" 15-3 as well as the K22 I have owned for 60 years now.

    2" 15-3 With Serrated Trigger

This weekend I aquired a 15-3 with 2" barrel. Otherwise a standard gun, it has a serrated trigger. According to the SCSW, these came with a smooth combat trigger and there in only one instance of a serrated trigger reported. It dates to 1968 and appears to have had some smithing done, but a...

    First Model Safety Hammerless Value

Thanks for your response Guy. It looks like Photobucket is cooperating tonight, so here are a couple of photos. As you can see, it is not anything to brag about, but not a complete loss. It is as found and a judicious cleaning will help it some. I don't have a lot invested, and an...

    Newbie from Ohio

I have been lurking here off and on for a while. Joined today for some answers on value of a Safety Hammerless. I am an accumulator, not a collector with an interest in the guns I grew up with in the 50's. I still have the K22 I got for Christmas in 1955 which cemented my preference for Smith &...

    First Model Safety Hammerless Value

New guy here with some questions on value of a first model 38 caliber Safety Hammerless. I recently acquired this gun, and it is fairly typical of these guns with about 40% nickel plating remaining, the rest brown patina with no heavy pitting. It is tight and functions properly, rifling is...
