Since you have an Air Weight get a steel frame 2"-3" barrel S&W j frame. You can use the same speed loaders and even holsters.

My snubs, 442 & 40-1 , are loaded with Buffalo Bore 158 LSWC-HP and either Speer 135 JHP short barrel or federal 129 JHP for reloads in speed strips or speed loaders.

I have a 442 and installed the 405. This I my EDC and every advantage to make it easier to hit the target justify the expense. Make no mistake this is not a substitute for practice! Practice & training is most important than all the ginglebells!.

I have never use the lock on my 442 J frame. Has any one had their gun lock up under use without the key? So far I've shot around 500 rounds of target and 150 +P. No problem so far and I don't feel it's concern.

Has anyone installed the XS Big Dot front sight on a non pinned j frame? I am curious if there was any chance on drilling and pinning it than gluing it in. I wrote to XS and have not heard from them yet. Thank you and Happy and Safe Holidays!
