    Lets see those grips guys.

The older 629 Classic DX's came from the factory with Hoque rubber monogrips and these Morado wood combat grips. Morado wood is also know as Brazilian Rosewood.

smallest stocks for a round butt N frame?

These S&W Combat grips are great for small hands.

Currently available Seven & Eight shot .357's?

I have a 620 and a 686+. I like the balance of the 620, but prefer the heavier barrel weight of the 686+ with full load .357 ammo.

Used brass casing included with new revolver

It's the firing pin mark they use to identify the gun, not any cylinder marks. Like fingerprints, no two firing pins leave the same mark.

Used brass casing included with new revolver

Those shell casings are required on all new guns sold here in Maryland. At the time of the original gun sale, the casing is sent to the state police supposedly for use in identifying a firearm used in a crime. Last I heard, they had solved a total of one crime using shell casings since the law...

NICKLE 29-2 Waht is its value

My local S&W dealer just sold a 4" nickle 29-2 with wood presentation box and tools for $700. The gun was probably 90%, and the presentation box and tools were only in fair shape.

Burn Marks on the cylindar face - To clean or not to clean?

To clean the front of a stainless cylinder, I use a Lead Away cloth. It takes off the carbon and the lead, and doesn't affect the finish at all. Only takes about five minutes, and the cylinder looks brand new when I'm done.

    Nickel 4" 29-2

The SCSW 3rd edition says a blue P&R 29-2 should go for around $700, with a premium for nickle (it doesn't say what the premium is). My local gun shop has a 4" 29-2 in nickle with presentation box and tools on consignment priced at $700. If the price ever comes down to around $600, I may...

    revolver research for arthritic father.

I think any J frame may kick too much for someone with arthritis in his hands. My Model 60 with Crimson Trace 305's kicks so bad in my 58 year old hands that I rarely shoot it (it's a nightstand gun only). I think a K or L frame would be a better choice for your father.

Got the Standard Catalog of Smith & Wesson

Nothing more true was ever uttered. I started out with one S&W revolver (a Model 620) in August of 2007. In January of 2008 I bought the SCSW, and have since added three more S&W revolvers to my small collection. Lack of available funds is the only thing preventing me from buying more right now.
