    K or N frame ??

I know this is a dumb question but here goes. I got out of collecting S&W's a number of years ago. I came across two sets of grips. I believe I had bought one set for a Mod.19-2 I had but am not sure. I also had a 27-2 at the time. As I know longer have any S&W's to try them on I am not sure if...

    Parris Island Visit

P.i. 1956 Well I am a "boot" to you Larry. I was in Plt 134 in April 1956. I took a trip to P.I. a few years ago. I too recalled the Parade Ground and also the "Iron Mike" statue at Mainside, not a whole lot more. What got me was that P.I. looked alot greener, I recalled alot more sand...

    C&R Inspection

C&R Log Book Don't get me wrong. I have a C&R FFL and keep my log book as required by law. I keep it in three sections, First, Purchase and dispositions since I got my license. Second, C&R weapons I owned prior to getting my license and third, Non C&R weapons. While I know non C&R weapons do...

    C&R Inspection

C&R Log Book Entries What I don't understand is if an inspector just looks at your book and not the weapons on hand, what is he looking for ? Neatness ? If you produce a book with 15 entries, 5 of which indicate having been disposed of and logged as such, how would the inspector know if these...

    Price check on K22 Outdoorsman

I havn't been keeping up on prices recently. Could someone give me an idea what a early (shipped July 1931) 1st Model, K22 Outdoorsman, would sell for. The gun is about 95% or a bit better. Small amount of wear at muzzle. Bigest problem, as I see it, is that it has a pretty pronounced drag line...

    2 inch Victory Model

On the CMP forum there is a post about a 2 inch Victory model someone bought at the Houston Gun Show. The owner posted pictures (small) and it looks like the barrel has a ramp sight. My opinion is that the gun as re-barreled with a post 1952 barrel. The owner states that the s/n on the barrel...

    k.22 outdoors man, pics!

I have a K-22 Outdoorsman that I regularly take to the range and shoot. One thing I did that hasn't been mentioned is I put a set of targets on it. Did this for two reasons, one - to protect the original grips, and two- I find the original grips a bit small and I shoot better with the target grips.

    outdoorsman original price

I am not a collector of the "Shooter's Bible" and really don't know which was the first. Seems they were all put out by Stoeger Arms Corp. of NYC. I only have two, the 1942 Edition that was priced at $ 1.00 and is marked Catalog No. 34. In a letter from A.F. Stoeger on the first page, Mr...
