What lenghth strain screw to use with reduced mainspring on S&W 617... I'd like to replace my rebound spring with a 13lb. spring. I've read here that a reduced mainspring will need an 8-32 set screw. I see online the lengths are 3/16", 1/4" , 5/16", 3/8". Is there any particular length to use...

Explain a canted barrel to me please... I got a 617 4" from Buds Guns. Tell me what to look for. This is my 1st wheel gun and I've run about 150 rnds through it. How do I find the defects/deficiencys? Seems to be working fine. Thanks Joe

I have the 4" 6" was just a little too long for me. I like it a lot it balances well in your hand and is fun to shoot. You can also purchase a 6" S&W barrel and have a smith put it on for you so you can have both models.:)

How much should I offer assuming it's in NRA good condition? Thanks Joe
