    Comp Tac 2 O'clock & Mod. 940

So I was looking for a way to appendix carry my 940, that would be easy on/off, yet not have one of those "one size fits none" metal belt clips. I am a die-hard leather guy, but I like this setup so far, and the all-stainless construction of the 940, combined w/ the relatively maintenance-free...

    Pics of my first S&W - a Mod. 940

OOPS! - Mod's please move I just realized I put this in the wrong Sub-Forum - Meant to put it in the '1980-Present' Forum... Mods, feel free to move the thread - I apologize! Regarding price.... I paid $399... So it was about $440 after PICS, transfer fee, and tax... I feel like I did about as...

    Pics of my first S&W - a Mod. 940

I just pulled her outta the pocket holster for these quick pics (so pardon any lint you might see!), but I did have a chance to run about 125 rds. of assorted FMJ and JHP thorugh her... The only ammo that sticks a little is WWB 115 FMJ... All +P I have tried so far has extracted without issue...

    Screw Loose

I have the same thing happening with my recently-acquired Model 940. After 50 rds. or so my last range session, the screw that retains the cylinder release was hand-loose. I was planning on using blue Loc-Tite, but I am not 100% familiar w/ the internals of this gun. My question is: Do I need...

    Question on 940 markings...

Thanks for the reply... I figured out something I already knew deep down inside: I am an idiot!;) That "6" on the cylinder is probably actually a "9" - For 9mm, I'm guessing... And the '293' (which I called electro-pencil due to it's poor execution and hand-drawn appearance), actually matches...

    Question on 940 markings...

OK, so I did a search, but did not find anything really pertinent to my questions... I recently acquired a mint 940 (no dash), and there are a couple markings at various spots, which I am wondering what their significance might be: - The number '6' stamped into the cylinder (on the side w/ the...

    Hello from PA...

... New S&W owner, and complete revolver noobie... I mostly own Sig and HK auto-loaders. Very recently got what I personally consider one of the ultimate BUG's one can get - A Model 940 (no dash). I am a 9mm nut, and so I was VERY excited to luck across a near-mint 940 at an amazing price...
