Was the Model 63, the first S&W stainless .22?

No Dash 63 with Magna grips I have the grips and need a screw. Bought two and both were wrong. One I believe was for a K frame and stuck out of the right grip and is blue. The other is threaded from top to bottom and drops through both grips and is to thin to engage the threads. I read some...

    Question About Model 63

Actually I got it from a guy in the beginning stages of Parkinsons diease. He was no longer able to shoot. I think that's about what he had in it. He owed me a favor and I jumped at his offer. He is pleased that it's getting lots of use and that it went to a friend. J T

    Question About Model 63

I recently picked up a model 63 that came with Pacmeyer Grips. Ilike the grips and they really make shooting easy, but I'd like to have a set like the gun came with. Will any J frame wood grips fit and would they be the correct ones. My revolver is newer. No reccessed cylinder or pinned barrel...

    1937 Or 1946 Brazilian

Thanks all for your replies. When I say over travel I mean that the cylinder over rotates and doesn't lock up. Some time it does and some is doesn't. I have taken the screw, spring and cylinder stop plunger (Not really sure about the part names) out and cleaned and oiled, but with out a diagram...

    1937 Or 1946 Brazilian

Howdy All, I just picked up this revolver. The finish is mostly gone, the barrel has lots of rifling but is pitted and has no shine to it what so ever. It's dull grey and rough. It locks up tight when cocked manually, but over travels when the trigger is pulled double action. Trigger pull is...

    New Guy From Kansas

Howdy All, I am new here and would like to say hi. I am a Smith & Wesson fan. I have several and can't seem to pass them up when I run across one. I reload for several calibers and shoot on a regular basis. I am really enjoying this site. John T
