7 1/2" mod 41 is not cycling as expected

Just for you to know I should never modify an original part, not even less any spring. What I have done, with no result, is to order a new spring with a thinner wire. Original is 0.73 mm diameter and, since that is very difficult to find in Spain, I made a new one with 0.7 mm instead. At...

7 1/2" mod 41 is not cycling as expected

Hi guys, My 41 is dated '68 -as far as I remember- and has a muzzle brake. I've been very long time without using it, and now I'd like to sell it. The problem is that the buyer wants to use yellow SK 22 lr ammo with it and it does not cycle well. Most times, say all but very few, it does not...

    Leading in Barrel

I don't know how difficult can be to find mercury, but in Spain we still have places to buy. Mercury is the best lead remover I've ever seen, far distance from any other solvent. Put a cork in one end of the barrel and drop enough mercury inside to soak at least half inch -vertical barrel. After...

    S&W Model 41- Help Needed

In my opinion it is not original. Mine is, as I said before, serial #99xx and does not have it.

    S&W Model 41- Help Needed

Yes, you are right. Sorry for the misunderstanding. Mine does not have that screw, and I agree that it has been added later, probably to reduce the first stage travel.

    S&W Model 41- Help Needed

Yes, I guess it is. I've always known as backslash, but the name does not make a difference. Take a look.

    S&W Model 41- Help Needed

I've got one S&W 41 serial 99xx in 7" with muzzle brake, and it has that screw from factory. Easy to adjust since you can do it when you open the trigger guard. Can't tell you about later serials or the one in 5".

    The evolution of RCBS

Good news!! Nice reaction from RCBS! They have told me to send the dies to them. Of course this has been after I sent them the link to this post, so this behaviour is also due to your help. Thank you everyone! Anyway, it goes without saying that RCBS has done as usual, and the strange thing was...

    The evolution of RCBS

No, toll free is not international. If you dare to call, they tell you to hang on immediately. No long distance calls allowed! I know IZQUIERDO quite well. They do not cover any kind of complaint. I would say more, they do not have the slightest idea of what reloading or equipment is about...

    The evolution of RCBS

Just mails. Take into account that I'm sitting in Spain and phone should mean a fortune!

    The evolution of RCBS

Hi guys, I just want to send a warning message about RCBS is behaving with customers. Before, I must say that all my reloading bench is green, you know what I mean. I have always had a nice response to any question to the RCBS service, in terms of time and solutions, but when I bought recently...

    What means?

Sorry, but I'm Spaniard and I'm not familiar to your slang. I'm driving crazy with the terms you use, such as M & P, or Sigma & SD. Probably it is very easy once you know, but until then... Could anyone be nice to explain to me in plane language?

    Hi everyone

My name is Jose Luis and I come from Madrid, Spain. I'm a rifle target shooter as many of you may be. I usually shoot at 300 meter prone and have got 5 gold medals in this discipline along my life. I mean in National championships in Spain, of course. I found your site when I was in search of...
