The flash hiders thread on for a reason. Un-thread them if you're removing the barrel (I think you have to, to remove the barrel anyway).

I was sort of under the conclusion that the buffer tube would be housed inside the stock. Wasn't aware that the built in fake buffer tube would need to be cut off to use that stock.
