Well yeah, "they are extremely reliable, accurate, consistent and very well designed." I have shot the others you mentioned but shoot better with my Glock 26. Fortunately, we all get to pick the one we like. I am in the majority as a Glock guy.

Yes, Chore Boy around a brush is extremely effective. Don't be tempted to use regular steel wool. I would change ammo. If you reload, use lead covered with HiTek coating. Zero leading and nothing cheaper.

Play it smart and throw away the few that resist. Life is too short.
