It was the "Made In Croatia" stamp that finally made up my mind. I ran through another hundred rounds of speer lawman today without a problem. I'm confident S&W resolved the problem with this weapon.

I got my Shield back last Monday and have ran through 200+ rounds without 1 magazine drop. The accompanying paper work said they replaced the magazines. Sorry I didn't post my serial - DXV9xx.

Same problem I noticed the problem with my Shield 40 from day 1. I thought it was my thumb hitting the mag release while firing. So I made an effort to keep my thumb out of the way. It still happened. I called S&W and they sent me a shipping label to send it back for repair. I think this is a...

I see what you mean about first having the problem then finding the forum. However, quite a few posts I've read suggest some potential Shield buyers have come to this forum and are not getting a Shield because of the problem reports.
